Soundcard Interface
November 13th, 2008 by admin
This is an email I sent to a ham recently. I thought it was general enough to post. So here it is:
Thank you for posting on our packet website. Sorry for the delay in responding. I have been in the process of moving to Oklahoma City, OK area to help take care of my elderly mother.
I have use a sound card interface I got from http://tigertronics.com/ and I am real happy with it. I used the free version of agwpe (http://www.sv2agw.com/downloads/default.htm). It is very functional software, (although it was just a bit confusing to setup for me.) The soundcard interface opens up the possibility of a lot of programs to run, not only on VHF, but on HF as well. I have been meaning to try PSK31. Maybe soon.
While I do not currently have a packet station set up here in Okla, I will be glad to try to help any way I can. Lance, KQ0Q, lives in Springfield, MO and he is also a packet operator.
Here is another great resource for soundcard packet information: http://www.kc2rlm.info/soundcardpacket/
73 to all. Keep on posting and packeting!
